The Runnerbeans Club is a Children's Fun Athletics Club founded with the goal of nurturing fitness and sport through games and activities suited to the needs, abilities and liking of the younger age! We love athletics! We do athletics! But with Fun! We prepare our beans for every track-and-field discipline by practicing exercizes that develop all the necessary skills. From co-ordination to agility, from balance to core strength, they build-up their abilities by using age-appropriate shot puts, javelins, hurdles and tons of other equipment. Our camps are interspersed with a bunch of other great activities such as Art, Dance-offs and Treasure hunts! Our Yoga classes for children - the Yogi Beans! - feature regularly in our programme during the year and we encourage all our little athletes to take part and enjoy the art for themselves!
At The Runner Beans Club we use a wide range of Games, training and equipment to teach track-and-field skills with fun. Our little athletes develop balance, agility, speed, and coordination and learn the foundations of javelin, hurdles, shot put, long jump, sprints and cross-country running. We cater for all levels and abilities.
The Runner Beans is a Dyspraxia-friendly club. 😌
The Runner Beans CLub delivers popular after-school athletics programmes for all classes in many schools adround the city. We also coach school teams for competitions and complement curriculum PE programmes.
We have three sport camps every year, during the Easter, Summer and Halloween school breaks. The Runner Beans Camps are aimed at all primary school children and follow the same principles of fun and athletic development of the regular classes but with lots more activities, including art and games, yoga and soem special event. Camps are held at CHRIST THE KING SCHOOL, CABRA.
Early booking is recommended as places are limited.
We occasionally run wonderful and wholesome yoga classes for children with strength and flexibility games, fun poses and relaxing activities! Ask us when the next one will be and we'll be glad to reserve a place for your child!
As our little beans progress in age, they move up to our Teen Fitness Classes where they participate in training programmes more suited to their ongoing physical development and delivered with a more mature approach to exercizing and health.
Part of our Runner Beans Classes includes occasionally joining in the Sunday fun runs organized by Parkrun Ireland. These junior runs are free and open to all, they are safe and easy to take part!

Fantastic club for getting kids moving! Janette is so kind and enthusiastic and has a lovely way with kids. She manages to makes running and exercise fun. My two kids loved it from day one and hate to miss a session. They completed their first junior park run last weekend with the Runner Beans. It's great to see what I hope will be a lifelong love of running and exercise developing. I wish I had a club like it in my youth!!!
My daughter did the two weeks of the summer camp & she had a ball. She has DCD & its hard to find a camp with sports that she can just enjoy and she loved this one. Thank you Jeanette and all leaders.
